The Siblings Project {May 18}

Whilst totally loving the brighter evenings, it’s really giving me a headache at the moment because the boys just won’t settle down in the evening until the sun starts to go down. They are driving us crazy and it’s exhausting trying to get them to go to sleep before nine o’clock. Going to bed later means that they’re tired in the morning, grumpy, have difficulty concentrating and listening when asked to do something, like get ready for school, eat breakfast etc!  It also means that Matteo and I hardly get any time to wind down after all the jobs are done in the house before it’s time for bed for us.

The Siblings Project {April 18}

What an amazing month these two have had. My two little travellers!  This month they’ve spent sixteen days away from home visiting Matteo’s parents in Italy and his Sister in Germany. They’ve had a wonderful time and their Italian has come on loads. It’s been tough on us being away from them for so long but knowing that they were happy and safe meant we were less worried about them.  Also knowing that they have always each other makes it easier.

The Siblings Project {March 18}

The last four weeks have been really good apart from a little bit of illness for Oliver. We sailed through half-term and back to school and now time is racing towards Spring and the Easter holidays. This month’s photos were taken on the first of March when we had our first ever snow days and school was shut for two days running. We tried to make a snowman but the snow wouldn’t stick as it was too cold (-5), it was so powdery and just wasn’t wet enough to stick together.

The Siblings Project {February 18}

It doesn’t seem like five minutes since I was writing January’s Siblings post and here we are in the middle of February.  I hate wishing the time away but is it Spring yet?  The last four weeks have been about school routine, quick trips to the park, two birthday parties and family time at home with Daddy recovering from having his tonsils out.

The Siblings Project {January 18}

I’m not a fan of January, it’s cold, dark, grey and always feels like the longest month of the year.  The last four weeks have had a big contrast. We’ve had two weeks of Christmas school holidays, which involved a lot of relaxing and a bit of work and then the other two weeks have been the end of term and then the start of the new term, so all routine and busy rushing around.  We can’t wait for Spring to arrive.

The Siblings Project {December 17}

We’ve had a great few weeks with the boy’s birthday and preparations for Christmas. This time last month we only had five days to go until the boy’s birthday and as I write this there are only 10 days left until Christmas.  They’re so excited that Santa is going to bring them a bike and I can’t wait for the school holidays.

Snapshots & Scenes from November 2017

I’ve loved putting this month’s video together and I have to say it’s my favourite video so far with some wonderful memories to look back on like going to Clip ‘n Climb for the first time and singing Happy Birthday, plus I got some everyday moments documented like bedtime stories and getting ready for football.  We finished off the month with some Christmas magic, twinkly lights and meeting Santa. The Siblings Project {November 17}

The last four weeks have included Half Term.  The boys went to Nana and Grandad’s for three days and enjoyed going swimming twice, jumping in and going down the big slide. I had the end of the week off so we had three days together and enjoyed a breakfast out in town, going to the cinema to see The Jungle Bunch and a trip to the garden centre for cake.  At the end of the week we carved pumpkins for halloween.  The boys drew a picture and asked me to transfer it on to their pumpkin.  You can see us picking the pumpkin in last month’s Siblings project post here.
