Mummy Lauretta

A family and lifestyle blog by a Mum to identical bilingual twin boys

Snapshots & Scenes from July 18

I’m so late publishing this post this month. The first half of August seems to have disappeared in minutes and with the boys being away I’ve been a bit distracted and this post has gotten delayed which is a shame as I love putting together these rounds ups of our photos and creating a little video each month.  Our main highlight of July was our weekend away in Bridlington where we had amazing weather and so much fun by the sea.  We also celebrated the milestone of the boys finishing Year 1.

Lily Rose London Watch Giveaway

Lily Rose London Watch Review & Giveaway

For me a watch is my essential accessory. I feel lost when I don’t have one on my wrist. I’ve always loved having a new watch for my birthday, choosing a really special one for my 21st and my 30th.  Because of this, I’m so thrilled to bring you this latest giveaway in collaboration with Lily Rose London.  If you saw or entered the last two giveaways I did with them, you’ll know what a big fan I am of their pieces.

Siblings Project August 18

The Siblings Project {August 18}

What a great four weeks these two have had!  From finishing school to starting this year’s Italian Summer adventure.  And who better to do it with than your brother (“bruther” as Ethan wrote on the last piece of school work he brought home!), your best friend, partner in crime? I took this month’s photos at […]

Smoked Fish Curry

Smoked Fish Curry

I always thought I didn’t like curry, I thought they were too spicy and I was really unsure of the ingredients but over the past couple of years I developed a taste for them. I especially love fragrant and creamy curries and I still don’t like too much heat.  This recipe is inspired by a Gousto box recipe we tried a few weeks ago and Jamie Oliver’s comfort food tikka masala. I mixed up the ingredients and it turned out so tasty!

Summer Glow Skin: Face & Body – Guest Post by Brigitte Evans

Regardless of the season, one must always keep in mind that our skin should be nurtured and moisturized on a daily basis. It’s essential to take care of our entire body since it’s the only place we actually have to live in. During the summer season, our skin is exposed to different harmful factors. Therefore, we must protect it by taking certain measures. Listed below is a roundup of how to keep your skin fresh and glowy throughout the whole year and especially in summer.

Me & Mine July 18

Me & Mine Project (July 18)

We made it to the school holidays and through the heatwave!  July has been another busy month broken up by our mini family break to Bridlington. The boys broke up from school and have spent a few days with me, a few days with my parents and a few days with Matteo’s parents. Thank you […]

laptop and tablet cases

CaseApp Review & Giveaway

I can’t resist a floral pattern and I also love to make things pretty and unique, so when CaseApp got in touch to ask if I would like to review some of their products, I was really excited to choose a laptop skin and matching iPad case from their website.

The Siblings Project {July 18}

 One minute they’re best friends, the next they’re arguing, pushing and shoving or throwing the other’s toys and telling tales on each other. I guess that’s just normal for all close siblings that are in each other’s pockets almost 24 hours a day. Sometimes it’s still difficult for them to share not only things like toys or clothes but also us and our attention. They shout about who was talking first, telling me a story or asking a question, mostly while I’m trying my best to concentrate on driving!

Snapshots & Scenes from June 18

 June was a really lovely month for us. I felt like we spent a lot of time outside and it has been good for the boys to be out in the garden instead of being on the tablet or watching tv. We’ve eaten outside, read books outside, played tennis, badminton and frisbee.  I think the highlight of the month for me was Ethan losing his first tooth. It felt like such a milestone and he already has the big one growing behind.
