Wednesday in October half term, I’d been at work Monday and Tuesday and the boys had been with Nana and Grandad. I wanted to have a special Mummy and Boys day with some treats so I decided we should go somewhere new to eat. We’ve loved going for pancakes in the past so I looked on Google for good places for breakfast in Nottingham and Bill’s came up.
Bill’s in Nottingham is in a beautiful building which used to be a bank. The ceilings are high but it still feels quite cozy with sofa benches and velvet cushions on the wooden chairs. There were a few people in the restaurant at 10am but it was fairly quiet which was great for us as we got served immediately. There is a separate children’s menu and the portions for the boys were great.
We ordered and the boys were asked if they wanted to do some colouring while we waited for our food.
It didn’t take long for our food and drinks to arrive. The boys had ordered pancakes which don’t normally come with chocolate sauce but they asked and they got! They also had hot chocolate.
We really enjoyed our breakfast and there were three clean plates in no time at all! It was delicious. We’d definitely recommend a visit and would love to go back again at some point as the atmosphere was very relaxed.
