Me & Mine Project {May 17}

How is it the end of May already?  Plus already half term again?  It’s Matteo’s Birthday today but he’s at work as on Friday we are off to Legoland for two days.  The boys are so excited and I can’t wait to have some proper family time away from home.  I’ve been so jealous seeing other people’s recent photos of time on holiday in the Uk and abroad.  But before that there are dentist appointments and hair cuts to do plus a day out with friends.

May has been busy and we’ve had some lovely weather the last two weeks or so (apart from Bank Holiday Monday of course!). I’ve taught an antenatal course plus a breastfeeding session, Matteo’s started a football coaching course and we’ve had another hospital appointment for Ethan.  This time to see a plastic surgeon about removing the raised mole on his cheek.  We now have a date booked in for a quick day surgery.

It’s also been exciting in that I’ve been offered a job with the NHS which I’m excited to start soon.  It will be a complete change for me from the office job I have at the moment, really rewarding as I’m going to be working with expectant and new mothers.

Two weekends ago the weather was lovely.  We had an afternoon in the park on day plus the boys had some time on the bouncy castle in the back garden.  Last weekend we made pizza and a cream tea and watched a film together.  This bank holiday weekend we went to Rushcliffe Country Park on Saturday afternoon.  The boys took their bikes and we had a good walk, an ice cream and plenty of time at the playground.

On Monday it rained nearly all day. We took the boys to my parent’s house to stay over as both Matteo and I were at work on Tuesday.  We all ate dinner together and then we left to have a date night.  I dragged him to Sheffield to see Take That (I’ve been a fan since I was eleven years old!).  It was a great concert and even Matteo might have enjoyed himself just a little bit!

This month’s photo’s were taken on my Birthday on Sunday.  We had a quiet day at home and finished off the day with a lovely bbq in the garden.  The boys needed to expend some energy from not having done too much and as you can see from the photos, Ethan was being a monkey and acting up for the camera!!  After they had eaten they got their scooters out and played for about half an hour while we relaxed.  I love the photo below where you can’t even see Oliver’s head for the mayonnaise bottle!

I’m loving capturing these family photos and I hope the boys will enjoy looking back at them when they’re older.
